Privacy Policy

PATCHYE is operated by HATCHIFY PTY LTD (ABN 87 600 809 167), a company registered in Australia. For anything privacy-related, email support@patchye.com.

• Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash — we never store or see your actual password).
• Quiz answers: the answers you give in the onboarding quiz, used to personalise your plan.
• Progress data: lesson progress, streaks, and mood check-ins, so the app can pick up where you left off.
• Subscription status: whether your subscription is active, plus Stripe customer and subscription identifiers (see Payments below).
• Technical data: the IP address your device connects from and the country it resolves to. We use this for security, to prevent abuse, and to understand which countries our members are in.
• Advertising identifiers (mobile apps only): if you allow tracking when the app asks, we collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on Apple devices, Advertising ID on Android) so we can tell which advertising brought people to PATCHYE. If you decline, we do not collect it and the app works exactly the same.

We do not collect your contacts, your precise GPS location, or your browsing history on other websites.

We use the information above to:

• deliver the Service — unlock lessons, save your progress;
• personalise your journey plan from your quiz answers;
• send transactional email (receipts, renewal and trial reminders, account notices). We do not send marketing email you have not asked for;
• provide support when you contact us.

We also measure which advertising brings people to PATCHYE, using the technical and advertising data described above. We never sell or rent your personal information.

Payments on the web are processed by Stripe, and payments on iOS (when available) are processed by Apple. Your card or payment details go directly to Stripe or Apple — we never see or store full card numbers. The only payment-related data we keep is your subscription status and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs so we can link your payments to your account.

We set a single session cookie so you stay logged in. It is HMAC-signed, used only for authentication, and is deleted when you log out. Our website also uses Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to understand how people find and use PATCHYE and to measure our advertising; these set their own cookies. Blocking them with a browser privacy setting or an ad blocker will not affect your ability to use the Service.

We share data only with the processors needed to run and measure the Service: Stripe (web payments), Apple and Google (app store payments), Google Analytics (website analytics), Meta (advertising measurement), and AppsFlyer (mobile app install attribution). We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists so your progress is there when you come back. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information, quiz answers, and progress data; we may retain minimal records (such as invoices) where the law requires it. To request deletion, email support@patchye.com.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are in the UK or European Union, you also have rights under the UK/EU GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, portability, and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us — we respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for the request.

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, all traffic to the Service is encrypted over HTTPS, and session cookies are signed to prevent tampering. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small so there is little to lose.

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy in a material way, we will notify you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The effective date at the top always tells you when it was last updated.
